Handwashing helps prevent the spread of:

• Before eating or preparing food

• After using the toilet

• After coughing, sneezing, or blowing your nose

Top tip: 20 seconds with warm water and soap is all it takes (sing “Happy Birthday” twice while you scrub. By making handwashing part of your daily routine, you’re not only protecting yourself but also those around you—especially children, older people, and anyone with weaker immune systems.
